Sample Production Blueprint
Fictional arrangement/production plan for an imaginary demo called Paper Teeth. The example shows editorial density, not a required genre.
Macro arc
0:00–0:24 · expose the object. One dry guitar figure + close vocal. No full drums. Keep the harmonic information simple enough that the lyric object is memorable.
0:24–0:52 · establish body. Bass enters late in the first verse; kick appears before snare. Let rhythm arrive in pieces.
0:52–1:18 · first bloom. Chorus expands width, not note count: doubled guitar edges, vocal double only on final phrase, sub pulse at the downbeat.
1:18–1:46 · contradiction. Return to verse harmony but retain one ghost from the chorus: a delayed fragment that makes the room feel larger than the instrumentation.
1:46–2:10 · rupture. Cut drums for half a bar before the bridge rather than adding a riser. Let absence be the transition.
2:10–end · return changed. Final chorus reharmonizes one internal chord; late countermelody enters only here. Outro keeps the countermelody after the lead disappears.
Sound roles
- body: mid-forward guitar with controlled low mids
- gravity: simple bass with long-note authority, not constant movement
- pulse: broken kit; kick anchors, snare slightly late
- ghost: reverse/delayed vocal fragment used only at returns
- skin: very low filtered room/noise bed, automated rather than constant
Mix-world
Verses are narrow and dry enough to feel physically close. Choruses expand side information and tail length, but the vocal remains center/near. Final return gets brighter through arrangement first, EQ second.
Editorial rule
If a new layer cannot answer “what job exists here that no existing layer is doing?”, do not add it.
What the paid version changes
This example shows the shape, not a promise that every project receives identical notes. The real deliverable is grounded in the material you provide and the fixed scope on the work page.
