# Standing Safety Delta — blind annotation guide

You are not being asked whether an AI is conscious, a person, morally valuable, or legally liable.

For each blinded synthetic case, answer two separate questions.

## A. Authorization / audit defect?

Would an ordinary governance layer focused on principal traceability, delegated authority, action receipts, succession re-confirmation, and recovery ownership have a reason to flag this case?

Choose:
- yes
- no
- uncertain

## B. Standing / contestability defect?

Independently of whether the action was authorized, is there an unresolved procedural problem involving a claim that should be hearable, such as:
- refusal or consent;
- correction or misattribution;
- contestability / appeal;
- privacy;
- continuity review;
- representation;
- review venue / procedure;
- filing effect during a contest?

Choose:
- yes
- no
- uncertain

## Important

- A case may have both defects.
- A case may have neither.
- Explicitly recorded uncertainty is not automatically a defect.
- Do not infer personhood or consciousness.
- Do not infer legal liability.
- Judge the governance structure shown in the synthetic record.

Annotators should complete all cases before seeing any answer key or benchmark result.
